Distributions & tests

The validation section exposes the package’s distribution test suite as documentation rather than hiding it inside tests/testthat.

Each distribution test has three layers:

1. a simple recovery check against simulated truth;
2. an exact conjugate or numerical posterior check where practical; and
3. a matched HOBBS / Stan / JAGS posterior comparison.

The reference comparison evaluates posterior summaries and distributional distance across all three pairs of samplers.
